I get it, because I’ve been there.

I have lived most of my life unconsciously, fleeing pain and anxiety, chasing perfection and feel-good experiences. I sought to control everything and everyone around me in an effort to manage my fears.

It was a losing battle. I struggled with poor self-esteem and eating disorders (my way to numb) for many years. My anxiety was so out of control that I needed medication to alleviate the symptoms.

It wasn’t until my 50s, when my daughters left home and my marriage was in trouble, that I had to face the reality: I was unhappy. And only I could take the steps to create a better way of life for myself. Through a lot of therapy, I finally began to address my issues. I leaned into curiosity, awareness, and compassion. That work continues to this day.

And my own experience was what led me to investigate the copious research on happiness, with this goal: How do I help the women I serve become happier?

I’m the Midlife Mentor with a passion for facilitating personal development. Through my on-demand courses, I help introspective, curious, action-oriented women 40+ deepen their journeys of self-discovery and growth—and design their next chapter with courage and intention.

 On a personal note, I’m a wife, daughter, sister, and friend—and the mother of twin twenty-something daughters. I split my time between Chicago and Sarasota, love travel, dancing, ’70s music, crime shows, ranunculus—and I eat chocolate every day!
